On March 12, 2019, the Embassy of Bolivia hosted the 2nd China International Import Expo in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, More than 100 people including Bolivian Foreign Minister Parry, Deputy Foreign Minister Branco attended the event.

Liang Yu, Ambassador of Bolivia, pointed out in his speech that China International Import Expo is the world's first national-level exhibition with the theme of import, and is a major innovation in the history of international trade development. The first session of the Expo has achieved fruitful results. Bolivia has launched the new national brand “Corazón del Sur” at the Expo, laying a solid foundation for future mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries in the world.

Foreign Minister Parry congratulated the first inaugural fair, and thanked China for its great assistance to the exhibitors. Bolivia will actively cooperate with the Chinese side to showcase the advantages of special agricultural products in the second session of the Expo, further open up Asia, especially the Chinese market, and push bilateral relations to a higher level.
