The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. As a full‑time participant in CIIE, Bayer, a world‑leading life‑science enterprise, will take part in the exhibition with its three major business divisions: Pharmaceuticals (including diagnostic imaging), Consumer Health and Crop Science, delivering on its firm commitment to long‑term investment in, services for and deep‑rooted development within China.

At this year’s CIIE, Bayer Pharmaceuticals will showcase innovative achievements for major‑disease management covering key therapeutic areas including cardiovascular diseases, nephrology, oncology, ophthalmology and women’s health, featuring multiple innovative medicines and new indications. Examples include Kerendia (finerenone tablets), the world’s first non‑steroidal MRA indicated for chronic kidney disease associated with type‑2 diabetes and heart failure with LVEF ≥40%; Asundexian for reducing the risk of recurrent stroke in adult patients with ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA), excluding patients with cardioembolic stroke; Nubeqa, an oral novel androgen‑receptor inhibitor for different disease stages of non‑metastatic castration‑resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC) and metastatic hormone‑sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC); and Eylea 8 mg for neovascular (wet) age‑related macular degeneration, with treatment intervals extendable to once every four months.

In diagnostic imaging, Bayer will present products designed for precise diagnosis and long‑term patient safety benefits, including gadoquatrane, the third‑generation novel tetramer‑structured gadolinium‑based contrast agent developed by Bayer, and the locally manufactured MEDRAD Mark 7 Arterion high‑pressure contrast injection system.

In the Consumer Health segment, Bayer will roll out a host of innovative products tailored to Chinese consumers’ demands across niche categories such as scalp health, paediatric skin care, maternal‑and‑infant health and nutritional supplements.

In agriculture, Bayer Crop Science will display innovative solutions and services adapted to China’s real‑world farming scenarios and practical needs across its three business pillars: crop protection, corn seeds and vegetable seeds.

Over the past eight years, Bayer has leveraged CIIE to bring global innovations into the Chinese market. To date, Bayer has set up six R&D and innovation centres and four supply centres in China.
