Three Authorities Launch the 2026 Financial Education and Publicity Week, with All Sectors Jointly Participating in the Governance of the Financial Online Environment
发布时间:2026-09-08

To thoroughly uphold the political nature and people‑centered orientation of financial work, help enhance the public’s financial literacy and risk‑prevention capabilities, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of financial consumers and investors, the State Administration of Financial Regulation (SAFR), the People’s Bank of China and the China Securities Regulatory Commission jointly launched the 2026 Financial Education and Publicity Week on September 7. They also released examples of financial sector initiatives for delivering practical benefits to the public and well‑received financial education works of the year. Ding Xiangqun, Minister of the State Administration of Financial Regulation, attended the launching ceremony and delivered a speech.

It is learned that themed "Foster a Sound Online Financial Environment, Safeguard Secure Consumption", this nationwide campaign promotes effective people‑oriented services enabled by digital and intelligent finance. It conducts targeted outreach on financial policies for diverse groups and alerts the public to emerging online financial risks and key preventive measures. Pooling efforts from government authorities, industry associations, financial institutions and other stakeholders, the campaign mobilizes all sectors of society to participate in the governance of the online financial ecosystem, so that compliant, high‑quality and secure financial services can better meet people’s aspirations for a better life.

During the event, the financial sector will roll out the special initiative "Bring Consumer Protection Tips to the Public". Leveraging community grid‑based management mechanisms, Party‑mass service centers and a full spectrum of online and offline channels, authorities will bring financial knowledge and risk‑prevention know‑how directly to the public. Meanwhile, it will publicize complaint consultation, dispute mediation and other rights‑remedy channels established by local authorities and financial institutions. This helps the public understand legal avenues for protecting their rights and learn about diversified dispute‑resolution mechanisms, curb the breeding ground for illegal and grey‑market activities, and consolidate the nationwide line of defense for financial security.

The launching ceremony was attended on‑site by officials from relevant departments of the Central Financial Commission Office, the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission Office, relevant agencies under the State Council and competent authorities of the Beijing Municipal Government, as well as representatives of selected industry associations, financial institutions and mediation organizations. Off‑site dispatched agencies of financial regulatory authorities at all levels participated via video link.
