On November 5, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) officially kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). As a "full-attendance participant" with consecutive appearances, Qualcomm kept its appointment for the 8th time, joining hands with partners to make a wonderful showing in the Technology and Equipment Exhibition Area of CIIE. During this CIIE, Qualcomm’s exhibition booth revolved around the core theme "Together, We Move Everyone Forward", showcasing a variety of the latest cooperation achievements jointly made by Qualcomm and its new and long-standing partners in China’s industry, which are empowered by cutting-edge technologies and collaborative innovation.
Meng Pu, Chairman of Qualcomm China, stated that the company has participated in this important expo for eight consecutive years. Starting with 5G technology in the early days to the in-depth integration of 5G and AI across multiple fields today, CIIE has not only recorded Qualcomm’s continuous technological breakthroughs, but also presented the fruitful cooperation results achieved by Qualcomm together with its partners in China’s industry. This year is of special significance to Qualcomm: the company is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and it also marks the 30th year since its entry into the Chinese market. Going forward, Qualcomm aims to further expand its cooperation footprint in China, and inject more impetus into the development of China’s innovation ecosystem through continuous technological innovation and ecological collaboration.
Within Qualcomm’s exhibition area at this CIIE, 12 new flagship smartphones launched by Chinese mobile phone manufacturers, which are equipped with the 5th Generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, were showcased collectively. This is the latest "full lineup of Snapdragon flagship smartphones" and also the first time such a batch display has been staged at a major offline exhibition in China. The rapid iteration of these products highlights the in-depth collaboration between Qualcomm and Chinese mobile phone brands including Xiaomi, Honor, Red Magic, iQOO, OnePlus, realme, nubia and REDMI. Through these annual core new products, visitors can personally experience the performance breakthroughs of the 5th Generation Snapdragon 8 Elite in AI, imaging, gaming and connectivity, and directly feel the premium flagship user experience co-created by Qualcomm and its Chinese partners.
Qualcomm’s cooperation with China’s intelligent industry is not limited to the mobile phone sector, but continues to expand to a broader range of terminal categories. AI PCs of brands like Lenovo and ASUS, which are powered by the Snapdragon X Series Platforms, complement the Snapdragon-powered tablets launched by manufacturers including Honor, OPPO, OnePlus, Xiaomi and Lenovo. At present, there are nearly 150 PC products with different designs equipped with Snapdragon X Series platforms, further confirming the strong competitiveness of Snapdragon platforms in the multi-terminal ecosystem.
As the automotive industry continues to develop, the application scope of intelligent technologies is constantly expanding. Qualcomm has collaborated with Chery Jetour, and by leveraging the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, has transformed the All-Wheel Drive G700 intelligent connected vehicle into a mobile intelligent space with multi-screen interaction, complex graphics processing and AI capabilities. After passengers get into the vehicle equipped with the 4th Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, they can truly experience the smooth response of multi-screen interaction and intelligent voice control. At this point, the intelligent connected vehicle is no longer just a simple travel carrier, but a "smart life on wheels" co-built by Qualcomm and its partners in China’s automotive industry. Since 2023, the Snapdragon Digital Chassis has helped Chinese automotive brands launch more than 210 related models in the field of intelligent connected vehicles. Qualcomm’s cooperation scenarios with multiple Chinese automakers are continuously expanding, extending from digital cockpits to intelligent driving, jointly facilitating China’s automotive industry to achieve the leap from "electrification" to "intelligentization".
Artificial intelligence (AI) and connectivity technologies are empowering all walks of life, and intelligent applications are extending from the consumer electronics field to more industry scenarios. The brand "Qualcomm Ascend", newly launched in February this year, includes solutions for industrial Internet of Things (IoT), cellular infrastructure and industrial connectivity, complementing the well-known consumer brand "Snapdragon". Products such as humanoid robots developed by Yushu and retail terminals showcased on the booth are practical application examples of the technical support provided by Qualcomm Ascend for industries. During this CIIE, Qualcomm also released the 2025 Qualcomm IoT Innovation Case Collection, which presents the high-quality overseas achievements of partners enabled by Qualcomm’s technologies. Since 2019, Qualcomm has insisted on releasing IoT application case collections, and has so far displayed a total of more than 170 enterprise digital transformation practice cases co-created with over 90 Chinese partners.
During the "High-Quality Development of the Artificial Intelligence Industry" parallel session of the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum, Meng Pu, Chairman of Qualcomm China, attended and delivered a keynote speech. He analyzed the overall development trend of the industry, and mentioned that the world is in an important stage of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation. Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, Internet of Things and edge computing are profoundly changing people’s lifestyles, production methods and social structures. In particular, the accelerated integration of AI and connectivity technologies is driving various industries to enter a new stage of intelligent and digital development.
Such industrial trends have been fully demonstrated at Qualcomm’s CIIE booth. Close-range experience of on-device intelligent agent AI applications has been realized: Mainwall Intelligence has collaborated with Qualcomm to successfully implement the next-generation GUI Agent intelligent agent technology based on the MiniCPM-4V multimodal large model on terminal devices equipped with the 5th Generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform. Based on this cooperation achievement, AgentCPM launched by Mainwall Intelligence has the ability to "understand" the screen and execute operations. By integrating with Qualcomm Orchestrator, the intelligent agent can flexibly adapt to various usage scenarios, demonstrating more user-centric understanding and operational efficiency.
These cutting-edge technology trends not only depict a clear picture of the intelligent future, but also open up broad new areas for collaboration between Qualcomm and its Chinese partners. The "AI Acceleration Initiative" launched in September this year is emerging as an important measure to scale up the cooperation between Qualcomm and China’s intelligent industry ecosystem. Initiated by Qualcomm together with Chinese telecom operators, terminal manufacturers and large model R&D companies, the core goal of this initiative is to promote the large-scale application and implementation of on-device AI. Inheriting the industrial collaborative innovation concept upheld by the previous "5G Leadership Initiative" and "5G IoT Innovation Initiative", this cooperation program will become a new direction for the in-depth integration of Qualcomm and China’s industrial ecosystem in the intelligent new era.
CIIE is not only an important window to display cooperation results, but also a key bridge to build industry consensus. As Meng Pu, Chairman of Qualcomm China, once mentioned, from edge intelligence to the future layout of 6G, from personal AI applications to industrial intelligence upgrading, and from technological innovation breakthroughs to ecological collaborative development, Qualcomm has always focused on promoting the in-depth integration of technology and industry. Qualcomm firmly believes that open collaboration and continuous innovation are the core driving forces for future development, and is willing to move forward hand in hand with Chinese partners to jointly enter a new stage of intelligent connectivity and explore new opportunities for the high-quality development of the industry.
