Among them, a striking splash of bright pink injects a unique vitality into the vast venue—it comes from Organon, a multinational pharmaceutical enterprise. The vivid pink color not only catches the eye, but also vividly interprets its unique corporate vision of focusing on the health of women and their families.

A Strong Start, Accelerating Forward

Organon made its debut at the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in the second year of its official establishment. With consecutive participations over the years, this global pharmaceutical company, boasting nearly a century of experience in drug research and development, has deeply felt the continuous "spillover effect" released by CIIE in the past three years.

Its first "CIIE Baby"—Ezetrol® (Ezetimibe and Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets (Ⅱ))—has achieved a strong start in the Chinese market. From its debut at CIIE in November 2022, to its official approval in China in September 2023, and then to its commercial launch and rapid inclusion in the National Medical Insurance Catalog in 2024, this series of achievements fully demonstrates CIIE’s great value in accelerating the launch of innovative drugs and benefiting patients. As the world’s first national-level exhibition themed on import, CIIE not only provides an important platform for multinational pharmaceutical companies to gain in-depth insights into the Chinese market and expand cooperation opportunities, but also helps global innovative drugs and cutting-edge health solutions converge in China faster, thereby benefiting more patients.

From "Her" Health to "Family" Health

At the 8th CIIE, the theme of Organon’s booth extended from focusing on "her" to "her family". In addition to focusing on health protection for women throughout the reproductive cycle, it also highlighted global experience and innovative practices in the field of blood lipid management.

"Currently, public awareness of dyslipidemia, a ‘silent health killer’, remains insufficient," Wei Fang noted. At present, cardiovascular diseases have become one of the leading causes of death among urban and rural residents in China, yet the awareness rate and treatment rate of dyslipidemia among Chinese adults are only 11.7% and 10.1% respectively, with the control rate reaching the standard as low as 4.8%. "Faced with this predicament of ‘three lows’, we hope to collaborate with all stakeholders to explore more possibilities for the comprehensive management of chronic cardiovascular diseases. Leveraging CIIE’s ‘siphon effect’, we aim to disseminate the concept of scientific blood lipid management to more people and jointly address this increasingly severe national health challenge."

Rooted in CIIE, Put into Practice.Taking advantage of CIIE’s strong magnetic appeal, Organon joined hands with the China Cardiovascular Health Alliance in 2024 to promote the "Blood Lipid Test Report Optimization" project and jointly issued an initiative on blood lipid health management with various industry partners. To date, the project has been implemented in hundreds of hospitals across the country. At the 8th CIIE, this optimized blood lipid test report, which has been widely recognized in professional circles, was showcased at Organon’s booth. With the support of CIIE as an open platform for exchange, more scientific health initiatives are being accelerated into nationwide actions, which not only promote the continuous improvement of public health awareness, but also contribute to the early realization of the "Healthy China 2030" goal.

The two 规格 products (60mg/ml and 120mg/1.7ml) of denosumab biosimilar HLX14 from their partnership have been approved for marketing in the United States and the European Union successively, building an efficient bridge for Chinese innovative drugs to enter the global market. This groundbreaking achievement is not only a vivid practice of resource integration and complementary advantages between the two parties, but also highlights the great value of CIIE as a global cooperation platform.
