A press conference for the 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference was held in Beijing. According to the Organizing Committee of the Forum, this year’s event features more high-impact policy outcomes, forward-looking discussions, pragmatic support for the real economy and an open global vision. Over 100 achievements covering institutional standards, institutional platforms and opening-up cooperation will debut at the Forum.
The 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference will take place from October 19 to 22 on Beijing’s Financial Street, with the theme of “Openness, Cooperation and Inclusiveness — Jointly Building a New Ecosystem for Global Financial Development”. More than 400 distinguished guests from over 40 countries and regions across the globe will attend.
Structured around the framework of “plenary session + parallel forums + thematic conferences + supporting events”, the Forum will host 21 thematic sessions including the plenary and parallel forums, alongside three special conferences: the FinTech Conference, Insurance Conference and Investment Conference.
Zeng Linfeng, Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee and Acting District Mayor of Beijing’s Xicheng District, stated that national financial regulatory authorities will release a package of policies on financial reform and development at this year’s Forum, together with over 100 institutional and technological achievements making their debut. Aligned with national strategies, the Forum has newly launched the Insurance Conference and Investment Conference to further strengthen the underlying role of finance in serving the real economy. It will host an African sub-forum for the first time and conduct live multi-site connections among Beijing, Hong Kong and London, serving as a major platform for national opening-up and development.
The 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference is co-hosted by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the People’s Bank of China, the State Administration of Financial Regulation, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Xinhua News Agency and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. Founded in 2012, the Financial Street Forum is a key national platform for opening-up and development. Known as a “barometer for China’s financial reform and development”, it continuously functions as an authoritative national platform for releasing financial policies, a platform for positive interaction between finance and the real economy, a channel for China to voice its views in global financial governance, and a venue for international financial exchanges and cooperation.
