Recently, in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, Porsche (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China.
Recall No. S2026M0001V: Starting from January 23, 2026, a total of 5 imported Taycan series vehicles produced between October 29, 2024 and January 31, 2025 will be recalled.
For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the wiring harness under the front seats was not installed in accordance with specifications. Adjusting the seats may cause damage to the airbag wires in the wiring harness, triggering the illumination of the airbag warning light. The side airbags of the front seats may deploy accidentally or fail to provide the intended protection in the event of an accident, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants and posing a safety hazard.
Porsche (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will authorize its authorized dealers to inspect the front seat wiring harness of the vehicles within the recall scope free of charge and repair it if necessary to eliminate the safety hazard.
Porsche (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will notify the relevant vehicle owners by registered mail and other means. Porsche authorized dealers will also take the initiative to contact the relevant users and arrange free recall maintenance.
