For a long time, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the foundation of China-Finland economic and trade cooperation has been steadily consolidated and the scope of cooperation has been continuously expanded. In 2025, the bilateral trade volume between China and Finland exceeded 8 billion US dollars, and the stock of two-way investment topped 23 billion US dollars. Enterprises from both countries have shown a growing enthusiasm for enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.

It is learned that Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will be accompanied by senior executives from more than 20 Finnish enterprises during this visit, covering Finland's advantageous sectors such as machinery, forestry industry, innovation, clean energy and food. This fully demonstrates Finland's strong willingness to deepen bilateral economic and trade ties. China attaches great importance to economic and trade cooperation with Finland and is working closely with the Finnish side to prepare for the 6th Meeting of the China-Finland Innovation Enterprise Cooperation Committee, which will provide a good platform for enterprises of both sides to conduct dialogue and exchanges and seek joint cooperation and development. Finnish and Chinese enterprises have responded with great enthusiasm, and nearly 50 enterprise representatives have registered to attend the meeting so far.

During the visit, the Ministry of Commerce will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening the Work of the China-Finland Innovation Enterprise Cooperation Committee with the Finnish side, and enterprises from both countries will also sign a number of commercial cooperation agreements. All these fully demonstrate that China and Finland have the will, confidence and ability to drive the steady and sound development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Looking ahead, China and Finland have highly complementary strengths and enormous cooperation potential in green development, innovation and other fields. We welcome enterprises from both sides to seize the new opportunities brought by China's unswerving advancement of high-standard opening-up and further deepen cooperation in green transition, information technology, digital economy and other sectors. The Ministry of Commerce is ready to work with relevant Finnish departments to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen communication on economic and trade policies, provide quality services and support for enterprises of both sides, and push China-Finland economic and trade cooperation to go deeper and achieve more solid results.
