The First Senior Officials' Meeting of APEC 2026 opened in Guangzhou on the morning of February 10. Focusing on the 2026 APEC theme **"Building an Asia-Pacific Community for Shared Prosperity"** and the three priority areas of **"Openness, Innovation and Cooperation"**, the meeting will fully launch cooperation in various fields and mechanisms, conduct in-depth discussions on concrete cooperation, and build up outcomes for the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in November. This year marks the third time that China has served as APEC host.
