Recently, the General Office of the National Intellectual Property Administration issued the Notice on Strengthening the Administration of Trademark Use (hereinafter referred to as the Notice). An interpretation of the relevant contents of the Notice is hereby provided as follows:

Strengthening the administration of trademark use and safeguarding consumers' interests is an important part of building an intellectual property powerhouse, as well as a key measure for the accurate implementation of the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Trademark Law) and the comprehensive improvement of trademark administration capacity. The Notice focuses on addressing seven types of illegal and irregular trademark use acts, purifies the trademark use environment, guards against trademark infringement, and urges various entities to use trademarks in a standardized manner.
