To thoroughly implement the tasks and arrangements set forth in the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Protection and Application of National Intellectual Property, improve the intellectual property legal and policy system, guide innovation entities to accurately understand and apply the patent application system for product designs involving graphical user interfaces (GUIs), help applicants enhance the quality of patent applications, and drive the high-quality development of the patent cause, the National Intellectual Property Administration has compiled the Guidelines for Patent Applications for Product Designs Involving Graphical User Interfaces, for reference and use by relevant innovation entities.
