According to the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), the SAMR has recently launched the Three-Year Action for Upgrading and Optimizing National Quality Inspection Centers to advance the quality improvement and upgrading of these centers. It will allocate resource factors to strategic emerging industries such as new energy, new materials and the low-altitude economy, and enhance the core value of national-level platforms. The action prioritizes the advancement of the "Quality Chain Strengthening" Project, with a focus on cutting-edge fields including "specialized chips" and "artificial intelligence + brain-computer interface".

In the coming three years, support will be provided for the construction of more than 20 inspection and testing technology platforms of internationally advanced standards in cutting-edge fields, and efforts will be pushed to tackle key problems in more than 100 critical generic inspection and testing technologies. Meanwhile, a dynamic evaluation and exit mechanism will be established, under which centers that fail the evaluation for two consecutive years will be revoked. By the end of 2028, the proportion of National Quality Inspection Centers oriented to strategic emerging industries such as the new generation of information technology, high-end equipment, biopharmaceuticals, new energy, new materials and the low-altitude economy will be raised to over 40%.
